Lapacho is a drink prepared from the inner bark of the dried "ant tree", which grows in the tropical jungles of Argentina, Mexico, Peru and Brazil. The ancient Incas believed that many diseases could be cured with this drink. Lapacho does not contain caffeine. The color of the finished drink is brown. The taste is quite specific, sometimes sweet, but with a noticeable bitterness and a slight astringent effect.
There are two ways to brew this drink. In the first case, a teaspoon of Lapacho is poured with a glass of boiling water and infused for 5-7 minutes. Another preparation option: pour 3-4 spoons of tea with a liter of hot water and boil for about 5 minutes, then let the drink infuse for 10-15 minutes. The second method is better, because it reveals the taste and healing properties of tea to the maximum. The finished drink can be consumed both hot and cold.
