Cha Gao (Pu-erh Resin): Energy and Tradition in a Single Crystal
Cha Gao is not just tea — it is a “tea paste” or resin, representing the highest concentration of tea leaves. Once reserved exclusively for the imperial family of China, today it is available to anyone who values deep flavor, convenience, and a powerful energizing effect.
What is Cha Gao?
It is a product of long-term extraction of tea leaves (usually pu-erh). For many hours, the leaves are slowly heated in special vessels until they turn into a thick paste. After solidifying, it forms small, shiny granules that fully dissolve in water.
Interesting fact: Producing just 1 kg of resin requires 10 to 50 kg of high-quality tea leaves!
