Description

Ya Shi Xiang (Duck Shit Scent) — Legendary Guangdong Oolong

Ya Shi Xiang (Ya Shi Xiang) is perhaps the tea with the strangest name and the most beautiful aroma in the world. This dark oolong hails from the Phoenix Mountains (Fenghuang Shan). As legend has it, the farmer gave it this name to hide its uniqueness from neighbors and protect the bushes from theft. In reality, it is an elite Dan Cong variety that impresses with its perfumed complexity and depth.

Taste and Aroma

Ya Shi Xiang is a true explosion of floral notes that is impossible to forget:

  • Aroma: Intense, perfume-like, with bright notes of honeyed honeysuckle, white flowers, jasmine, and a subtle hint of almond.
  • Flavor Profile: Subtle, sweetish, and multi-layered. One can taste ripe exotic fruits, floral nectar, and the slight mineral character of the rocky soil.
  • Aftertaste: Refreshing, sweet, and incredibly long-lasting with a characteristic "cool" floral note.

Tea Features

This is a tea for special moments when you want to enjoy every breath and sip.

Origin: Guangdong Province, Phoenix Mountains (Fenghuang Shan)
Type: Fenghuang Dan Cong (Single Bushes)
Roast Level: Medium (preserves intense aroma)
Effect: Harmonizes, grants a state of clear mind and creative inspiration.

Fun Fact: Despite its name, this tea's aroma is considered one of the purest and most elegant among all oolongs. It is perfect for those looking for new, unconventional taste experiences.

How to brew?

Guangdong oolongs require special attention to temperature and timing:

  1. Water Temperature: 90–95°C. Use hot water to "open up" the dense Dan Cong leaf.
  2. Teaware: A thin-walled porcelain gaiwan is the best choice to emphasize the high aroma.
  3. Method: Only quick steeps (starting from 5-10 seconds). This tea is very strong and releases its flavor rapidly.
  4. Dosage: 5-8 grams per 120-150 ml of water.

Discover the magic of the Phoenix Mountains. Ya Shi Xiang from White Dragon — the tea whose name surprises, but whose taste creates a lifelong love.
